Adulting Academy Terms of Use

Adulting Academy is an Australian life-skills learning platform operated by RGL Loans Pty Ltd (ABN 32 611 969 138), PO Box 391, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006, Australia ("we", "us", "our"). It is available as an iPhone app and at adultingacademy.com.au. By creating an account or using the app or website you agree to these terms.

What Adulting Academy is

Adulting Academy provides educational content about practical life skills: tax, renting, superannuation, credit, health cover, employment, and more. The content is general education only. It is not financial, legal, tax, medical, or other professional advice. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
  • Provide accurate information and keep your password secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

Purchases and access

Free lessons and all calculators are available without payment. Full access requires an Academy Pass Lifetime, a one-time purchase that grants ongoing access to the content library for as long as Adulting Academy operates. It is not a subscription and involves no recurring charges.

  • In the iPhone app the pass is sold as an Apple in-app purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and Apple's refund process applies to those purchases.
  • On the website the pass is sold via Stripe as a single card payment.
  • One pass covers both: buy on either platform and your account is unlocked everywhere you sign in.

Customers who previously purchased a monthly or annual subscription on the website retain their existing plan on its original terms until they cancel. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the right to a refund if the service is not fit for purpose.

Intellectual property

All content — lessons, guides, playbooks, tools, and design — is owned by or licensed to us. Your pass grants a personal, non-transferable licence for private, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, redistribute, scrape, or resell the content, or share your account with others.

Acceptable use

Use the platform lawfully. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, interfere with their operation, or use automated tools to extract content.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep Adulting Academy available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding a claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time and will notify you of significant changes by email or a notice in the app or on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
